Crete Island - Levka Ori (White Mountanis)

Photos were made during the end of September. The track started in the village of Lakki (alt. about 500m.) and continued toward the place called Poria (1450m.) then to the Kalerghi Refuge (1670m.). Next way: a descent to the Xyloskalo where there is an entrance to the Samaria Gorge (1250m.), the ascent across the Linoseli waterspring to the saddle under Mt. Gigilos (1760m.), climbing upward as far as to the highest summit of Gigilos (2080m.), the descent to the saddle again, the ascent to the summit of Strofomadhi a then decline through the Achladha valley as far as the village of Koustogherako and towards Sougia on the sea level. Final part was along the coastal part of the E4 route as far as to Paleohora.
